Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac and Tavel : The Southern Rhone Trilogy
As the crow flies, they are just a few kilometres apart.
ln Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac and Tavel, the Rhone and the Mistral have shaped vineyards since time immemorial. In addition to their wide array of soil types, these three appellation areas also share an extensive range of local grape varieties, spearheaded by Grenache. All the signs point to twin appellations and yet, nothing could be further from the truth.
Each member of this southern trilogy produces wines with distinctive character, across the colour spectrum.
